Wolfkids: Gary Scully and Lauren Crowe.

New Nenagh band to release debut single

Wolfkids is the latest musical project by former My Corduroy musician Gary Scully. Joining him on the album, 'Music is a Weapon', is new kid on the block Lauren Crowe.

Although new to studio recording, Lauren is not new to performing. Lauren's haunting, unique voice was last heard when performing the role of Wednesday in the local production of 'The Addams Family'.

Wolfkids' first single, 'Monster In Me', is being released this Friday. It can be downloaded from iTunes and all the usual music platforms.

The video for the single was directed by award winning Nenagh man Thomas Moyles of Avalanche Multimedia Studios. It describes a Jekyll & Hyde type character slowly being consumed by the monster within. It's set at the turn of the century, shot in early silent movie black & white format. The track and video will be available to view on Wolfkids' Facebook page.

The indie/electro album was recorded by talented Nenagh producer Owen Geaney, who mixed, engineered and produced the album. It is due for release this December.

Wolfkids wish to thank Margaret Walshe and the Nenagh Players for kitting out the crew for the video, and also friend of the band Mark 'Yank' Hogan for starring as the protagonist in the video. The professional looking monsters in the video are the handiwork of up-and-coming local makeup artist Kayley Moylan.
