Ready for the Show!

The 139th annual North Tipperary Agricultural Show is being held on Bank Holiday Monday August 1st.

This long standing tradition in Tipperary can hardly be rivalled with. Many of your parents, grandparents and even their grandparents will have attended the popular event at some point in its long history.

Through tough times and good times, the show has survived. Although essentially an agricultural show with the reliable stalwarts remaining unchanged, the show has evolved to become a special day out. So come and meet the neighbours and put August 1st in your diary for an authentic experience, and the kettle will be on!

A great show has been planned again this year, with a bucking bronco, face painting and lots more joining the core attractions of cattle, sheep, poultry, horse and pony showing classes and show jumping. Other attractions this year include a classic car display and a mobile pet farm. There are competitions for the best floral displays, photography, art, baking, cooking, needlework, fruit and vegetable produce. There will also be a children’s corner with bouncy castles and more, and there will be a ‘chocolate square’ selling all sorts of wonderful goodies to the young and not so young.

As usual, there will be a wide variety of trade stands selling an excellent range of interesting goods.

The show provides entertainment to farming and family people and is a great local attraction on the Bank Holiday Monday. And anyone who wants to volunteer their help on the day would be most welcome.

Lots more is being planned for what promises to be a great day out for all the family. Come along and enjoy the show. For all information, including the full schedule, visit the website www.northtippshow.com.

THANKS

The North Tipperary Show committee would like to thank all the local businesses who continue to support our event through sponsorship and providing trade stands. Arrabawn Co-op are, once again, the main sponsors of the show.
