Crann public meeting in Roscrea

A general public meeting to reactivate and reorganise the South West Midlands branch of Crann (the organisation trying to re-leaf Ireland) will be held in Biddy's (O’Rourke's), Rosemary Square, Roscrea on Wednesday July 27th at 9pm. All are welcome to attend.

The President of the branch, George Cunningham, will give an introductory address on the former activities of the branch and indicate hopes for its future. If you have any interest in trees and forests and all the associated features of these, the biggest living things on earth, please come along; always pleasant gatherings. New officers will be elected and a plan of activities associated with tree care and planting will discussed.

Elsewhere in Ireland, Crann branches have become associated with Tidy Towns committees as planting is a huge part of any urban improvement. SW Midlands Crann hopes to become associated with the Tidy Towns committees in their area. The editor of Crann will hold a free raffle for copies of the award winning Heritage Trees of Ireland and for copies of his Round Tower book for all those attending on the night.
