1916 exhibition at Nenagh Library

'Carving History' is the title of an exhibition by Tipperary wood carver Phil Bourke, currently on display in Nenagh Library for the month of May.

It commemorates the signatories of the 1916 Proclamation and members of Cumann na mBan. There is an accompanying short video presentation by the craftsman in which he explains the inspiration behind this body of work and what it means to him on a personal level. Phil is a well known wood sculptor in his 90th year and his work can be seen in many Tipperary locations, including the Kilcommon Prayer Garden and Upperchurch.

All are welcome to view this unique exhibition during usual library opening hours – the collection will be on display until the end of May.
