Join the VHI Women's Mini-Marathon Childline team and help us answer every call

Registration ends this Friday, 29th April and we need YOU!

Every year, hundreds of the ISPCC Childline’s loyal female supporters from across the country pull on the red Childline t-shirt and take part in the Women's Mini-Marathon. As a result, they are helping to keep Childline open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Registration is now OPEN for the 2016 VHI Mini-Marathon and we need you to join team Childline! Go directly to the Mini Marathon website to register, or email our team, or call 1850 50 40 50. Registration closes this Friday, 29th April.

Childline is the only 24-hour listening service which seeks to support and empower children and young people in Ireland. Last year, Childline had conversations with almost 400,000 children and young people who contacted the service for help and advice with wide-ranging serious issues, including abuse, violence, exploitation, addiction and suicide. That is an astounding 1,095 contacts by children a day, on issues that no child should encounter.

A mother of an ISPCC service user had this to say about the Mini Marathon: “To see our son bloom into a relaxed teenager was such a great sight. To see his confidence and self-esteem grow was a proud thing, we knew he was given the tools he would need in life to help him fend for himself, to figure things out and find different ways to approach situations. As a mother and a woman I would encourage women around Ireland to run, crawl or walk the VHI Mini-Marathon for ISPCC and Childline, it’s a service that has to remain open 24 hours for our children and teenagers, they are way too precious”.

The ISPCC will provide all runners with a sponsorship pack and t-shirt. Call us today to register your interest!
