Works welcomed on Nenagh-Thurles road

NENAGH councillor Hughie McGrath (Ind) has welcomed confirmation that a long-awaited road improvement scheme on the Nenagh-Thurles road at Knockalton will commence this year.

The March meeting of Nenagh Municipal District Council heard that a two-year scheme costing in the region of €1 million will begin this year. District Engineer Peter Fee said the council would be surfacing the worst section of the road soon.

Cllr McGrath said people would be very glad to know that road widening works will commence at Knockalton this year.
