Fleadh accommodation needed in Tipp

With August fast approaching, Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Inis 2016 is actively seeking accommodation in neighbouring counties.

400,000 visitors are expected in Ennis over a nine-day period from  August 14th-22nd. The demand for quantity, quality and a variety of accommodation to meet the requirements of Fleadh goers, families, performers and overseas visitors, is enormous.

According to Brian O’Neill, Chairman of the Fleadh Accommodation Sub Committee, the call for accommodation applies not just to Ennis and County Clare but to our neighbouring counties as well. 'It is crucial that the Fleadh visitor has the best possible experience of Ennis, Clare and the wider region and people are made to feel welcome,' he said.

'Quality accommodation, fair pricing and value for money are at the top of our priorities,' he added, 'In addition to existing approved accommodation, all extra good standard accommodation is sought. So if you have a spare room, house or apartment, you are invited to register your accommodation by logging on to www.fleadhcheoil.ie and filling out the appropriate form. You can also contact Maria Lynch, Accommodation Administrator at 065-6845918.

'Once you register your property, two members of the Accommodation Welcome team will visit the property or properties to ensure that standards and pricing are agreed and signed off. People requiring accommodation can look up the Fleadh Register and make a direct booking with the owner or proprietor. There is a Property Visit Check List and a once-off charge of €10 per room applies.'

Brian O’Neill went on to say that the Limerick-Galway motorway provides easy access from Limerick, Tipperary and Galway. It gives providers in bordering counties the opportunity to support the accommodation needs of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann Inis 2016 while at the same showcasing the best of what the mid-west has to offer. It will encourage people to return to the region in the future, making it a first class destination and an even greater centre of culture and tradition.
