Midnight deadline for water conservation grant

The Department of Social Protection is advising householders that they have up to midnight on Thursday, October 8th to apply for the Water Conservation Grant.  Applications can be made online at www.watergrant.ie.

To date, some 716,000 grant applications have been received. A total of 395,000 households have already received their payment.  It is expected that all payments will be made by the end of October. Due to the high volume of calls to the Water Conservation Grant Helpline, the Department of Social Protection is providing an additional phone line for people to contact it with enquiries regarding their applications for the grant.

People wishing to contact the department in relation to the Water Conservation Grant or who are unable to make their application online should phone the department’s helpline at 0761 087 890 or 1890 100 043 or 021 2065880.  The helpline will remain open until midnight on Thursday.

People, who have not already received a letter from the department inviting them to apply for the grant or who have mislaid their letter, have until midnight to request a new letter either online at www.watergrant.ie or by calling the helpline.
