Nenagh church closed for two months for restoration

The Church of St Mary of the Rosary in Nenagh is closed for eight weeks to facilitate restoration works.
Phase One of the works will include the rewiring of the building, installation of a new and more efficient lighting system, the painting and decorating of the ceiling and walls, and draft exclusion, as well as heating works.
Subsequent Phases of work are planned for the next few years. The plan is to prepare for the 125th anniversary of St Mary's in 2020 with the restoration of the interior of the church.
The time scale for Phase One is in conjunction with the quiet time of the summer. It is intended that the church will reopen at the end of August. Until then, the following arrangements are in place:
8am Mass each weekday will be in the Pastoral Centre; 10am Mass each weekday will be in St John the Baptist Church, Tyone;  All Baptisms, Funerals and weekend Masses (Saturday: 10am, 6.15pm and 7.30pm; Sunday 8am, 9.45am, 11am and 12.15pm) will be Tyone.
