Carersinspired film at nenagh arts centre

Town Hall Cinema presents the French Film ‘The Intouchables’ at Nenagh Arts Centre on Thursday  March 19th.

Directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, the film touches on two people both facing individual challenges in their lives and how they join together to achieve each of their goals, in a manner somewhat unbeknownst to them.

Set in modern-day Paris, the aristocratic quadriplegic Philippe is interviewing candidates for the position of his carer with his secretary. Driss, a youth from the high-rises cuts the line of candidates with a document from the Social Security, and asks Phillipe to sign it to prove that he is seeking a job position so he can receive his unemployment benefit. But Philippe challenges Driss, offering him the job over a trial period of one month to gain experience helping him. It’s a month that will change both their lives.

The film screens at 8pm and admission is €8.
