Call to take part in tipps community and voluntary awards

The deadline for applications for the 6th Annual Community and Voluntary Awards Event has been extended to Tuesday March 3rd.

The competition is open to all community and voluntary groups in the Tipperary North County area. Groups are invited to submit applications under the following headings:  Art, Culture and Tourism; Youth; Sport; Social Inclusion/Community Activism; Environment and Heritage and Community Enterprise and Innovation.  Nominations for individual unsung heroes under the Community Person of the Year and the Life Achievement categories are also invited.

In 2013, when the awards event was last held a vast array of community and voluntary groups from all over  the Tipperary North County area participated in the event. North Tipperary LEADER Partnership (NTLP) has supported the running of this event since 2010.  According to Michelle Putti, Social Programmes Manager at NTLP the event sets out to acknowledge and celebrate the wonderful voluntary work done both by individuals and groups in communities right across the North County area.

This year's awards ceremony will be held in Moyne Community Centre on Saturday March 21st. If you or your group are interested in finding out about this event, contact Nancy White email nancywhite1645@gmail.com or Breada Ryan email bryan@ntlp.ie or tel: 0504 90579.
