Nurses at nenagh hospital to take industrial action

Nurses in Nenagh Hospital are to take industrial action from Tuesday, February 3rd, due to problems caused by overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick.

Their decision to embark on a work to rule with other nurses in the mid west means nurses in Nenagh, like their colleagues throughout the region, will not perform any administrative, clerical or non-clerical tasks. They will only engage in direct care duties involving the provision of clinical care to patients.

The action comes after members of the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organistion (INMO) working in hospitals in the Mid West area voted overwhelmingly in favour of taking a stand.
