Blue christmas in nenagh

Blue Christmas, or 'Longest Night', is a service for people suffering from pain, loss, isolation or grief in the Christmas Season. St Mary's Church of Ireland in Nenagh will hold a Blue Christmas service this Saturday night.

The service is usually held on or around December 21st  - the longest night of the year.  It is for those for whom Christmas is not a time of joy - for those who are lonely, mourning, alienated, cast out from family celebrations. A Blue Christmas service offers special recognition of the struggles many people face during this season.
