Nenagh foodstore plan appealed

A plan to build a discount foodstore on Nenagh's Limerick road has been referred to An Bord Pleanála.

The plan involves demolishing the fire-damaged two-storey house opposite the Civic Offices and developing a licensed discount foodstore with a car park of 100 spaces, among other features.
Tipperary Co Council refused planning permission for the application – submitted by the Cork based Planning Partnership on behalf of estate executor Ciaran Harte – last October.
An appeal has since been made to An Bord Pleanála in the name of Ciaran Harte and PJ Walsh & Co.
An Bord Pleanála is to make its ruling on the proposal by April 2015.
