Trillogy to perform in moneygall this friday

The acclaimed band Trillogy will perform in Moneygall this Friday as part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days. The music celebration was created in response to the 2002 kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl at the hands of extremists in Karachi, Pakistan. Daniel’s family and friends came together to work towards a more humane world, forming the Daniel Pearl Foundation.

The mission of the foundation is to promote cross-cultural understanding through journalism, music, and innovative communications. These Music Days are an international network of concerts that use the power of music to reaffirm our commitment to tolerance and humanity. Since 2002, Daniel Pearl World Music Days has grown to include the participation of more than 11,900 performances in 132 countries.

Trillogy, are a vocal harmony group who recently shot to fame following a sensational rendition of Rembrandts hit and Friends theme tune, ‘I’ll Be There For You’, which quickly went viral and secured them a performance on RTÉ’s Late Late Show. Other covers by the trio also include 70s rockers Kansas’ track, ’Carry On Wayward Son‘, The Proclaimers’ '500 Miles' and ‘Eye of The Tiger’, Carole King’s ‘Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow’.

Trillogy will perform their growing repertoire of contemporary choral music in the intimate surroundings of St Joseph’s Church in Moneygall and will be supported by local artists Tadhg Maher, Theresa Larkin and Seamus Doran. Tickets for the two hour performance are €10 with doors opening at 7pm this Friday and concert commences at 7.30pm. It is strictly a ticket only event and they can be purchased online at https://www.eventbrite.ie or locally in Moneygall from Bergin's or the Obama Café and also in Byrnes in Dunkerrin.
